It becomes our painful duty to record the death of Mrs. Mary A. Freeman, mother of the editor of The Times which occurred in Calhoun, Ga. March 27, 1879. The subject of this notice was born in Virginia, Oct. 25, 1812, was united to the M.E. Church in Henry Co., GA in 1820; married to Beverly A. Freeman in McDonough, GA March 4, 1832 - widowed in 1855.

Died at her residence in Calhoun, Gordon Co., GA, Mrs. Mary A. Freeman, relict of the late Col. B. A. Freeman of Ellijay, aged 67.

Charles P. Gordon - dies Monday morning (no date given). Mr. Gordon moved to Polk Co. from Bartow about ten years ago. He was buried in Cedartown Cemetery with honors from The Ancient Order of Unitied Workmen. His family will receive $2,000 from that order.
