My Grandma and Step-Grandpa

Carl Otto "Oscar" Warmuth was my grandmothers' third
husband. They married October 7, 1943 and were married about 37 years, until death took them. Oscar was a intelligent, gentle, and kind man.

Oscar was born Feb. 11, 1916 in Yorktown, Dewitt County, Texas. He died April 7, 1980 in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas and is buried next to his loving wife Eva Day Warmuth at Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery in Grapevine, Tarrant County, Texas. Oscar was the son of Fritz Warmuth and Frieda Thieme of Vogstedt, Germany.

Oscar worked for and retired from Lennox Air Conditioning in Arlington, Texas. He was a good mechanic and carpenter.

Oscar and Eva built a retirement lake home themselves. He and Eva loved fishing. Oscar was a US Army Sergeant and fought in Austria in WWII. He received the purple heart at Iwo Jima. Awards: WWII, ETO, (1) Battle Star, (Austria), WIA, Purple Heart.
